Summing up a year - by Mdebuka

Another great and a successful year! A big thank you to Sikhula Sonke team who have worked selflessly to serve the young citizens of Khayelitsha. 

As I always say, it has been and still remains my strongest belief that ‘it takes the whole village to raise a child’’. Yes, indeed that is true, and this has been evident at Sikhula Sonke. Our partners (our “village”) have dedicated every tool they have in making sure that Sikhula Sonke   succeeds in its endeavours.  The partners have contributed in immensely in different areas like strategic direction and implementation, policies and support, lobbying and support, partnership in child development, information sharing, materials, equipment and most   importantly, financial support. 

Our budget for the next financial has year has increased tremendously; we therefore invite you again to support us financially and in prayer so that we can make sure that all of our programmes are sustained and children are better equipped for the future. Sikhula Sonke Early Childhood Development again recommits itself to making sure that the children of Khayelitsha receive the best early childhood development foundation for the future. 

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish all those involved in community development in all spheres a happy and blessed Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
