We are excited to announce that the Imbewu Training programme officially launched last week. Imbewu is a programme that seeks to equip early learning development practitioners with skills, knowledge and tools that they can use in their existing schools, workplaces and in the wider community.
On Wednesday, 45 principals attended the programme orientation and overview, then went back to their schools and selected practitioners (teachers) who will then be part of this programme. On Thursday and Friday the new programme participants travelled to Sikhula Sonke's offices in Harare Square, Khayelitsha, and took part in the teacher orientation and first part of the learning programme. Imbewu training takes place weekly for the whole year, and we have seen great results and had positive feedback from previous years from practitioners and principals alike. Watch this space!
